Title:
Heidi
Author:
Johanna Spyri
Pages read:1-30
Quote:"
Go back where you came from and don't come here again,"
he said angrily, raising his arm.
Reaction: I feel that Uncle Alp had tried very hard to protect Heidi
and he didn't want any trouble so he just told Detie to go away so no
harm would come to Heidi under any circumstances. Also Heidi must
of been terrified by something Detie has done so her grandfather had to
tell Detie to leave. Heidi then got to spend some time with her grandfather.

Pages read:31-60
Quote:"
Today we must stay at home.A little girl like you might get
blown over the side of the mountain by a gust of wind."
Reaction: I feel that Uncle Alp was trying to convince Heidi to stay
indoors for the day during the crazy wind gusting through the village.
He didn't want any harm to come Heidi because he knew that this wind
was impossible to get through whether or not you really want to. Alp knew
Heidi wanted to do do something in the wind and he tried to make her mad
but she needed to know that even though she is a grown up she still needs to
follow the rules.

Pages read:61-91
Quote:"
How dare you make fun of me!" shouted Mrs.Rottenmeier.
Reaction: I think that Heidi was hiding something from the mean
Mrs.Rottenmeier so she was just trying to listen to her until, MEOW,
a cat meows and the rude and mean Mrs.Rottenmeier blamed Heidi for
mocking her when she had barely said a word.I think Mrs.Rottenmeier
is trying to get rid of Heidi to make sure that all the focus is on Clara as
much as possible and as soon as possible.
Pages read: 92-122
Quote:
"Well, well, then you don't want me to send her home. You're
not tired of her?"
Reaction: I think that Mr.Seseman just like Mrs.Rottenmeier wants to
get rid of Heidi because he thinks that she is a bad influence on Clara. Also
he must have heard something about Heidi from Mrs.Rottenmeier and must
have thought, she has to go.He didn't seem to care if Heidi was nice,he just
cared about Mrs.Rottenmeier's way of saying exactly what happened and when
it happened. Now nothing can stop them from getting rid of Heidi.
Pages read:123-237
Quote:"
Now you won't have to eat hard bread for a while,"she said.
Reaction: I think that Heidi had known for a while that her grandmother
tries as hard as she can to get the best bread for her meals but she can't so
Heidi thought she'd stop by her house with soft and fresh bread. Her grandmother
hadn't had the best luck at getting fresh bread so Heidi thought she'd bring her
some on her way for a visit.Heidi knew she would feel much better with her
grandmother and grandfather there beside her and not against her.
